In order for you to think they overcame last year's SB choke job?

NFC title game? Super Bowl ?Or do they need to win the SB? Interested in what the board thinks would be satisfactory

I don't think the choke job matters. So overcoming it is irrelevant to me. But they will lose to the Saints in the NFCCG would be my guess. I would bet anything (ok not really, but you get the idea; 200 vbucks tho) they beat the shit out of the Eagles next week.

Sad, but probably true for people who look at legacies that way.

Nothing. The choke happened. Even if they win the Super Bowl it doesn’t make the choke go away. Now if they do win the SB it will help eliminate the memory, but it will still be the greatest choke in SB history.

I agree... Sometimes others teams get better as well so it makes it even tougher for a team like ATL to get back... Winning 2 games as a WC team would be a great feat... I won't hold their feet to the fire though if they don't win the SB...

Yeah, but I got to say the red sea really parts for them to get back there. Lucked out being the 6 seed this year weirdly enough with Wentz going down. Still had to beat the Rams, but they did.

I think They are at least confirmed for the NFCCCG. but honestly I think by just making the playoffs they have rebounded nicely, not too often does the lose of the owl make it back to the playoffs the next year.

Obviously . The question is not how you erase it. That's impossible. It's how far do they need to get for you to think they overcame it's memory

they already have a playoff victory, so as far as I am concerned, the idea of the superbowl hangover has been defeated. Hell they are the only NFC team to even make the playoffs this year from last. So if making the playoffs werent enough, I would say the playoff victory is enough. Figure some combination of Falcons/Saints/Vikings will be the Championship game which should be a good game. But even if they get upset by the #1 seed, they showed their resolve this season.

My personal opinion is if anything from a previous year affects how you play in the current year means you should not be playing football. The over hang or choking is all BS. Each player on a team starts training camp with a goal of winning it all and they should give it there all then all through the season to help reach that goal.

To have some thought process in your head thinking oh we choked it bothers me so I cant play as good this year and it will affect us as a team in my opinion is BS

So to answer your question they are planning for Philly next week.

In the minds of most Falcons fans It'd have to be winning the SB I'd think? God knows I couldn't stop about the WS in 2014. I think I would've lost my sanity as a sports fan if the Royals didn't pull it out in 15.

They need a superbowl to overcome the choke job. Doesn't have to be this year but they need a SB with Ryan & Quinn as the QB/Coach within the next 3 years IMO

If they lose in the Superbowl again, the choke will be with them a long time.

If the goal was just to make the choke fade away, they would have been better off not even making the playoffs. The further they get, the worse it gets unless they actually win the SB.

Vikings #1 defense is gonna cause the Saints issues... I think it's gonna be the Vikings vs Atlanta NFC title game....

Saints Pass D is also really good. It's going to be a tight one. Keenum is Keenum, but it has worked so I won't count them out; suspicious as I am.

Keenum has done better than I think anyone thought, but I don't think it's gonna be resting on his shoulders so much, he just has to play good enough, that Vikings D will keep them in the game, there defense is really good ..

Gotta win it all at some point with this core group. When you do everything under the sun to give a game like that away, that's about the only way you can resolve it. Even then....last years Super Bowl will always be known for the ultimate choke.
