Depends on how they lose. Close game you still can put them 3 or 4 . You gotta leave room for who evers #2 or #3 to move up if they win easy. But I doubt Bama loses (if they do) bad enough to get moved worse than #4. They deserve benefit of the doubt. It's the other SEC teams who I scratch my head . They start of in the top 10 lose to unranked team get dropped to 12 lose to unranked team get dropped to 14 lose to unranked team get dropped to 17. Most teams from any other conference are out of the rankings after the second.

I'm thinking they only drop to #3.

As some have noted, Bama isnt "most" teams, they are Alabama. Only one of two teams to make the title game two years running. Only team to make the playoffs each year. So when considering their recent accomplishments, the fact Saban doesnt appear to have lost a step, and Bama simply reloading, a person must really ask this, Are there 23 better teams than Alabama? Why 23? Because they just lost to FSU if the OP's premise holds true, so you have to ask yourself honestly, who else among you has the steel balls and nerve to best Alabama?

I have no issue with Alabama being ranked top dog again. Same coach, same recruiting, same talent level. It will shake itself out. Especially around the Iron Bowl. I want us both to be undefeated or one loss going into that game every year. We lost trees that way though.
