At least 500 miles, maybe 1000. I've done it. Maybe I got lucky.

I actually know people that have tried to put donuts on the front for racing.

We're talking about the spare tire right??

I saw a bonehead in a VR6 Golf zooming along with his spare on the left front. He went around a right hand corner and the thing shredded itself. Sparks flying and a Golf in the ditch. Guy was lucky, trees everywhere else. Missed them all.

Yes. I had one proposition me a couple of years ago. We would "roll-race" 60-160 on the George Bush Turnpike in Dallas. Back then I had stock brakes and he had 6-piston brembos. He wanted to trade brakes in order to use the spare tire donuts as "skinnys" to shave off some weight.

I considered taking the dumb ass up on the offer. Those brembos are expensive but I would have his dumb ass getting killed on my conscience.
