With Vasek Pospisil’s 5-7, 7-6 (5), 7-6 (4) upset of John Isner at the Rogers Cup, the United States will have no men ranked in the Top 20 for the first time in the history of the ATP rankings (since 1973) when the new rankings come out of Monday, the ATP confirmed. After winning Atlanta and reaching the final of Washington D.C., Isner pushed his ranking this week to No. 20, but he was defending 360 points from his semifinal showing in Canada last season, hence his forthcoming drop.

American Sam Querrey, who is ranked No. 26, withdrew from the tournament due to a family issue.

How is this embarrassing for Roddick? Why not title the thread to generate some interest in the fact that US Mens tennis is in a slight slump and maybe why that is and what potentially will happen?
