I don't understand being upset at Haslam for this at all. If anything he should be commended for sticking with a coach who was dealt a team that he couldn't possibly have success with.

This has to be a "show me" year for Jackson.

Year one was a throw away. This past year was extremely disappointing, but still the odds were against them having anything that resembled real success.

Next year they need to show marked improvement. They will still be the youngest team in the NFL, but there's no excuse to not see massive improvement given all their picks and cap space to fix the problem.

So Hue Jackson's 1-31 as the Browns HC. His team's on a 17 game losing streak. And I can see the team starting 0-9 next year to tie the '77 Bucs for the most consecutive losses in NFL history. Why in the world is he still the HC!?!?!?!?!?

Fuck you Jimmy Haslam!

My theory is that the bengals and the browns had a Paul Brown-themed get together (more like a special ed class lol) and the browns offered to keep Hue jackson if Cincy kept Marvin Lewis. Both teams will suck for as long as both guys are coaching (let's be real, both teams will probably not stop sucking no matter who's coaching LOL), but they at least have the assurance that their ohio brethren team is just as stupid as they are.

That is my only theory...

Does it really matter?

Who is gonna pick the next guy? New boss, same as the old boss.

Ain't that the truth ? One thing you NEVER see anymore is a team winning the sb with an owner and/or management who has no idea what they're doing. If you're stupid at the top, you won't go anywhere. period.

If the browns did fire Hue Jackson, which of course they should (i could probably have at least twice the number of wins he's had with the browns so far in his tenure there. wouldn't take much lol...) then they would have to hire someone else. The probability is staggering that they would manage to find the worst candidate or one of the worst candidates, because they're the browns and if they did otherwise then hell would freeze over.

They really are the gift that keeps on giving in the nfl because even the other "remedial class" teams of the league like the jets, bengals, redskins, bears, bucs, etc can all come together and have a laugh at the browns ineptitude and that's really saying something LOL!

Maybe because they finally realize that coaching is not the problem with this organization.

So you are saying we should assassinate Jimmy. Interesting, I like it.

Bit of a surprise to see this, after going 0-16 I figured they'd let him go.

Because Browns ? .. and I know that's rich coming from a Lions fan, so sorry. Watching his presser after he learned he'd be coming back, he almost seemed embarrassed that he still had the gig.

Yeah, its like he wants to be fired. Taking no accountability, throwing people under the bus.

I would say he can try the George Constanza approach

But the Browns have no Lombardi Trophies.
