These games are lasting as long (if not longer) then most Yankees/Red Sox games.

The National Title game which did not go to OT took 4 hours and 8 minutes. That is insane

How would you correct this issue?

My first suggestion would be to cut out stopping the clock anytime there is a first down except for maybe in the last 2 minutes of the 1st and 2nd half. Thoughts?

OR you could cut out half the commercials!

The 1 and only thing I want changed is the hour and a half half time. Can't fuckin drink slow enough to accommodate half time and a full second half. I elect reduce half time

You make an excellent point.

Play the National Championship game on either Friday or Saturday night. Leave the time alone.

"Injured" players take way too long to get off the field. We need to get stretchers out there pronto.

Or keep the clock running when a player goes out of bounds
Up until the last two minutes of the 4th period.
Keep the clock running after first downs.

Shit just install NFL rules.
That would get these kids
ready for the NFL. And the games would be shorter.

shorten the pregame BS of like some singer taking 4 minutes to show off their version of the national anthem.

Shorten the halftime BS of some sort of Hollywood popstar singer entertaining fans like its a concert. Its a football game, not a concert.

Keep game as is.

Could repeal a rule change that changed when and how refs spot the ball and allow substitutions from either side including a huddle.

Hence, the HUNH Meerkat offense revolution.

Make teams get into a huddle. Play real football mano y mano as opposed to gym rat crap.

Wisconsin plays 3 hour games
Washington State plays 5 hour games

47 first downs in the national title game. That mean the clock was stopped 47 times for nonsense. Length of game is cut down significantly without the stoppage for every single first down.
Given the average clock stoppage of 6 seconds for a 1st down, the total time spent positioning the football after a 1st down was less than 5 minutes. Even with a 15 second delay, which is not realistic, you're looking at a total of less than 12 minutes. I'd rather watch that than all the damn commercials, which on average, takes up close to 45 minutes of airtime. But without it, some of these programs wouldn't be able to afford to keep playing. If they want to reduce the time it takes to play a game, go to 12 minute quarters.

The tv timeouts have gotten out of hand.
I agree. There's no reason to break for a commercial after a score, kick the ball off, and break for commercial again.

Shorten the clock up between plays.
Make the QB call the play without any sideline help.
