There's been worse. McCoy's been a stud in this league. Matt Stafford is pretty good compared to lots of other first overall picks. Mack is a stud. Maclin is a stud.

Which?? 2009 is definite bottom 2-3 draft class of past 25 years. Other I would consider 1992 (no HOF members).

2009 may not have any HOF members either.

You may be right, but I doubt it. 2009 was pretty freakin' bad across the board.

I think next year's class looks about on par with that class

Rashad Johnson. Such a steal in the 3rd round… I think he's one of the most underrated players in the NFL.

Without looking I can't imagine anyone had a worse draft than Dallas. That was the year Jerry knew we were on the verge of greatness and announced how we were drafting for depth and Special Teams...oh that Jerry...

Actually yeah. I was thinking "wasn't the Aaron Curry draft worse?" Turns it it WAS that draft. LOL

I don't know...Broncos had 2 1st round picks and 10 picks overall in the draft and only 2 of the players are even still in the league and both are depth guys. Bruton has been great as a special teams guy but has only started a handful of games.

We had 12 picks and The biggest impact we got from that draft was a kickoff specialist!!!

Nothing left of Cowboys' 2009 draft class

Its definitely a bad class and a big part of that was Sanchez and Freeman busting. Sanchez does have more playoff wins that probably 90% of QBs ever drafted but that was more due to everything else. Freeman really had potential, though. He was on pace to be something special and then..poof.

The Eagles absolutely crushed that draft compared to every other team in the league. Not only did they land two offensive studs in Maclin and McCoy with their first two picks they also traded their #28 pick for Jason Peters, the best LT in the game for the next 5 years. They also traded out of the 3rd, picking up some extra picks and a 3rd the following season.

This thread makes me feel a tiny bit better about Michael punkass Crabtree (I wanted Orakpo).

I think Packers did better...
- Clay Matthews - 6 Pro Bowls, 1 1st team All Pro, 1 2nd team - still with team
- BJ Ragi - decent NT, still with team in 2015, could be back
- TJ Lang - very good guard still with Packers... Sitton on 3 straight Pro Bowls, but many Packers fans think Lang has been better guard last 2 years - still with team

No one else left from draft on team.

Sebastian Vollmer came out of that draft. So the Patriots got Vollmer and Edelman, as well as their first go-round with Patrick Chung.

But how bad was it? The Patriots drafted a long snapper, and even he was a bust.

Not sure how that is as good as the Eagles...
