Yup. I hope the Sens win the draft lottery. Dahlin looks like a franchise D-man. That being said, 1st overall defensemen scare me more than a little.

I'd be very happy with 2nd overall. Svechnikov is going to score a lot of goals.

If they fall lower than 2nd I'd like Wahlstrom. I really don't want Tkachuk, which means that's who they'll pick.

A perfect way to end this season would be for the Flames to win the draft lottery lol

I don't know if the CGY pick will go 1 overall but it will almost assuredly wind up in the top 3.

There is no way karma doesn't bite Burke in the ass after he didn't learn from the stupid shit he pulled with the Kessel trade. Meanwhile Ottawa did a dumb trade but saves face by lottery protecting their pick.

Adam Ginning provided a solid performance and leadership at the recent World U18 Championships, captaining Team Sweden to a bronze medal and recording 4 points in 7 games.

“Ginning is a smooth and savvy two-way defender who brings confidence and composure on the puck” says ISS Director of Scouting Dennis MacInnis. “He was outstanding during the recent World U18 Championship, where he exhibited the type of poise and composure with the puck that one would expect from a 10-year veteran. He possesses good passing skills and is a smooth skater with good mobility. The captain provided leadership with his physical play all tournament”.

Jeff Tambellini’s whirlwind week started with completing a sports-management degree at the University of Michigan and then attending graduation.

It finished with being officially named general manager and coach of the BCHL Trail Smoke Eaters on Friday.

That’s quite the story and pretty tough to trump.

However, when the former Vancouver Canucks winger was asked for a scouting report after coaching highly-touted NHL draft prospect Quinn Hughes this NCAA season, he swung for the fences.

“I was waiting for that question,” started the 34-year-old Tambellini. “I think this is one of the most outstanding players in this draft. Our whole team had a slow start and he didn’t really get the push in the early rankings.

“But if you saw our team in the second half, you would have been so impressed. People always ask me, who does he (Hughes) play like? You’re not going to want to hear this — and I’m not saying he isbut he plays like Bobby Orr.
I’ve never seen a guy possess the puck and skate his own problems away.

Notes:

I'm pretty sure that neither Tkachuk nor Wahlstrom are actually centers.

If Kotkaniemi makes it to the 16th pick I'll eat crow. He's gonna be a top 10 pick. Possibly top 5.

Another Hall-Seguin scenario?

Maybe, although this one will be extra spicy as it's the Devils and Rangers and these two fan bases can't stand each other, if one guy is clearly ahead of the other after a couple of years, it will be relentless trolling.
