Well, that settles it. LeBron's a Rocket next year. No team is going to miss 25 consecutive threes with LeBron creating open looks.

Just because you have to spend money, doesn't mean you have to spend it on garbage. LOL.

Why do you think JJ Redick got a 1 year 23M contract from Philly? Same principle. They could have gotten him for way less annually if they signed him long term, but ask yourself why they didn't?

If you have to reach a salary cap floor, there are much smarter ways to do while still preserving cap space and not just throwing it away. At worst, you know what you could trade a huge expiring contract for?

You could also use that cap space to take fliers on other guys who didn't get a fair shake or could have a turn-around with your organization. It's completely short sighted to give away THREE YEARS worth of cap space for a pick that is going to be 30th. The Warriors paid 3.5M for the 38th pick just last year. But you want the Kings to use 50M in committed salary for that pick?

So who the fuck is going to Sacramento on a one-year pillow contract?

You say teams often disregard the salary floor, and you're not wrong there. However, teams that do that are pretty much always blatantly tanking. Tanking does Sacramento no good without a 2019 first round draft pick.

So why not spend the money on veterans who can take pressure off the young guys and upgrade their 28th-ranked defense???

Last I checked Tucker and MKG are still quality contributors in spite of their contracts...Tucker just played in the conference finals for Christ's sake.

My Rockets???
Keep trying to change the subject - but you joined a buddy of yours who also thought the Rockets was a better team than the Warriors - but the Warriors have three all star players - The Rockets have two and a seven man rotation which is filled with some mediocre shooters at the best and from 1 to 12 - The Warriors are simply the better team.

The only thing left to say is the Rockets did very will with very little. D'antoni almost made it work with Isolation ball, but I still think team ball is better - Now must man up and admit that you was wrong with your Houston in Six shit

4 teams were penalized last year. Brooklyn (who didn't have a pick), Minnesota, Denver, and Utah. None of them tanking. Take a deep breath and try again. Or better yet, quit while you're behind

And yet, it still doesn't change the fact that Sacramento could use veteran defensive presences to speed up a youth movement in a year they don't have a pick.

Doesn't change the fact you made a stupid suggestion and doubled down on it either

I guess the reason Brooklyn swallowed Allen Crabbe's stupid contract was simply because they're in a big market and wanted to brag about their big market by spending money.

I however, think it's more likely that they didn't want to pay the minimum cap penalty two years in a row...

That depends - though - Don't forget that there is a minimum the teams have to spend - Now I don't know what that will be next season, but in the 2014-15 season the min was 63 million - lets say that in 2018-19 season it will be 67 million. Sacramento as of right now has 67 million - and they will have a choice - to sign a player for 7 million or give it to the other players. - On the other hand, the Lakers have 34 million - so if they strike out - they will have to give up a large amount of money to a one year player. I doubt that Sacramento has a problem finding a player for that min though and I doubt the Lakers strike out in the free agency at this point

No. I think it's more likely that you'd just rather see LeBron on the Lakers.

That makes no sense to what's even being discussed. Even your "insults" are stupid.

You know damn well what it means. You simply don't want the Houston salary shed to happen because you know the Lakers wouldn't be able to compete with them for LeBron's services.
