I guess this league didn't get a thread yet but this tournament has been complete chaos

top 3 seeds have already lost

remaining teams are 9th seed Youngstown State, 10th seed Wisconsin-Milwaukee, 6th seed Illinois-Chicago and right now the highest remaining seeds 4th seed Northern Kentucky and 5th seed Wright State are playing each other.

Sadly this means a 16th seed for this league

Semifinals:

#9 Youngstown State vs. #4 Northern Kentucky - 7:00 -- ESPNU
#10 Milwaukee vs. # 6 UIC - 9:30 -- ESPNU

Tuesday, March 7th:
Championship Game - 7:00 -- ESPN

NKU is the only chance this league has of staying away from Dayton.

Valpo lost their best player and Horizon player of the year Alec Peters before the tourney, so they have some sort of excuse for losing.

The same cannot be said for Oakland however.

The same cannot be said for Oakland however.

Oakland had beaten Valpo twice but I think a third time would have been difficult. Valpo also lost Adekoya to NCAA infractions earlier in the year and their bench was weak. But the were still capable of winning the HL tournament. Now, if they get an NIT bid, they would be wise to turn it down.

Northern Kentucky University is suddenly the favorite LOL, I don't live too far away from them, they were basically a commuter college until a few years ago. I didn't even know they played D-1 basketball or any sport

11-23 UW-Milwaukee hanging tough only down 3 at the half, pretty laugh worthy that a team that went 11-23 and 4-14 in conference play is this close to being in the big dance.

UWM would become the record holder for team with the most losses to make it if they pull it out.

However, only two teams have made the Big Dance with 20 or more losses — Coppin State in 2008 and Liberty in 2013. Each entered the NCAA Tournament having been defeated exactly 20 times.

NKU wasn't eligible for the post-season last year because it was their first year in the HL. They've come a fairly long way in a short time but I would be surprised if they sustain anything.

I saw that last night

Definitely amazing for them, not often you see a team make the tournament in their first year eligible.
