those other teams were undefeated and usually beat a pretty good BCS conference opponent at some point...

You might not want to hear this, because these wins were all after the fact, but these match up do nothing to excite a football fan except a fan of the non AQ. Two of those teams are now in power conferences. Please tell me how they have done? Please? Feel free to list their records every year they've been in those conferences? Utah beat Stanford this year but isn't even a .500 club. Any team can win A game once in a while.
