Other than the National Championship win, possibly the Win in the last 15 years.

all things considered, this was fucking great. I will say one thing, there seemed to have been a large and vocal, especially in the 2nd half when the Vol fans went quiet, OU contingent at Knoxville. Lot of crimson in that crowd!

In regards to its importance, not one of the top games, but in regards to the enjoyment for fans, the guts and not going to give uppedness of the team, it was a great win. I enjoyed it as much as the Sugar Bowl win against Bama but less than the last NC. A bit like a come from behind Bedlam or RRR win. Mostly because Tenn had been building up this game for a full year(since the last loss to us). SEC ain't a thang. Orange got crushed. We just have to beat two more shades of orange.

I'll say this. Mixon needs to improve his reads in the wild cat, big time.

Yeah Vols fans said that was one of biggest groups of opposing fans they could ever remember there. Shep, Mayfield and company really stepped their game up to a whole other level when it came down to crunch time. Give Schmitty some credit too. When it came down to the 4th quarter and on, we were the better conditioned team.

We really did outlast them. Once we got past OT1, the game was ours.

Bob says Mixon needs to be less selfish with the football in the wildcat formation. Not that he had trouble making the read, but that he needs to not be selfish. That sounds like a message to me. Not something Bob usually does.

Not even sure what that means.
If the guy could make "reads" he'd be a dual threat QB.
The Wildcat is absolutely the worst formation in all of college football to begin with.

I actually liked it down inside the five. Lots for opposing defenses to account for. Bob said he's making the reads in practice, but got a little selfish in the game.

Well I can see that. I liked it down close to the goal line too.
It's probably some "selfish" and some "I don't want to fuck up so I'll just keep it" kind of thing.
If you use the Wildcat as a RB turned QB and do some things out of it like that is way better than just snapping it to your RB and let him try to run with it. If that makes any sense.
