Especially these OU fans.
Nailed it.I don't have a problem with drafting Mayfield in the first round, but they are idiots to lose out on Barkley. They could have gotten Barkley and had a QB left to draft at #4 -- and likely mayfield would have been open with the 4th pick. Just absolutely dumb. Unlike Mayfield, I think Barkley is a rare talent.

Ok, OP. Ignore the analytics if you want, but calling Mayfield a B level QB in this class is BS.
'Tis clear. Can tell who just wants to bash the Browns for being the Browns too just looking at the random jeering over a bunch of mostly nothing. He’s a butthurt whorn.
If you're a team like the Browns, you need to take that chance. They had the potential to walk out of this draft with an elite RB and QB prospect. Instead, they chose just a QB. See what Fournette did for the Jaguars. A chance at flipping a backfield like that doesn't come very often.Should have traded the pick to the Jets. I hate drafting RBs early. Biggest reason is the #2 pick is going to get 30 million. Barkley will be paid like an elite RB from day 1. If you take RB early you better be right. It's not like hitting on a QB, who will get a ton more money on his second contract
There are plenty of RB's despite the Seahawks reaching for Pluto in Penny. If the Browns get Landry and Guice- this isn't gonna look so hot.If you're a team like the Browns, you need to take that chance. Huh? he was a top 10 RB is year 1. He finished tied for 3 in terms of TDs by RBs. Saying he didn't do shit for the jags is just wrong.

Also: Fournette did jack shit for the Jags
3.9 YPC. He achieved those things because his QB- Blake Bortles is bad at football and they needed to keep the ball away from him as much as humanly possible.Huh? he was a top 10 RB is year 1. He finished tied for 3 in terms of TDs by RBs. Saying he didn't do shit for the jags is just wrong.
So if they had a quarterback that had seen a football before, the defense wouldn’t be able to stack 7-8 in the box?3.9 YPC. He achieved those things because his QB- Blake Bortles is bad at football and they needed to keep the ball away from him as much as humanly possible.
And the QB still threw a shit ton of interceptable passes like Bortles usually does even if they weren't intercepted. Pretending a RB in any form takes precedence over some of the most impressive pass D's statistically by DVOA for the better part of 20 years is borderline trolling as far as I am concerned. So if they had a quarterback that had seen a football before, the defense wouldn’t be able to stack 7-8 in the box?

No RB has that big of an impact on the NFL level. Not gonna say Fournette sucks- but pretending he was the differencemaker when the Jags saw minimal losses when he was actually out is friggin' absurd.
There are a lot of good running backs in this draft. I think they should have gone Chubb first and then picked a QB with the 4th pick. But, WTF do I know? I'm rattling around on a discussion boards with a bunch of you morons! Doesn't say much good about my life does it?I don't have a problem with drafting Mayfield in the first round, but they are idiots to lose out on Barkley. That argument goes both ways. Speaking from personal experience as a Michigan fan, if you don't have a QB then the defense plays your run game hard. The Jags went from 3-13 to 10-6. Some of that was coaching, but it's hard to argue that a lot of that was not Fournette's production.3.9 YPC.
