Game Thread: HokieHoops Wk910: vs #2 UNC, vs #17 Louisville

1/24: VT vs #2 UNC, 6:30pmEST (ESPNU)

1/27: VT vs #17 Louisville, 8pmEST (ACC Network, check local listings)

Two home games against ranked opponents. So far the UNC game is still set for Sunday. The snowstorm should be over by then. Likely tough sledding this week, especially against UNC. It'd be nice to pick a win at home because there's a slew of road games coming up against some good teams.

Damn. Missed the memo about the UNC game being moved up to 3pm. 75-70 loss. Against a team like UNC, I'll take that. Reading about it, it sounds like we battled hard after getting down 20 and kept it close much of the game despite Allen and Bibbs struggling. That's good to see since now its looking more and more like we can compete with any team we play against more often than not. That wasn't the case the last handful of years.

I watched the Louisville/GT game and we can beat the Cardinals in Cassell this week if we play like we're capable of. Should be a good competitive game against a ranked opponent

8 point loss to Louisville. Never could get over the hump tonight. Seemed like we could get it to 4 or 5 but they'd stretch it back out to 9. We didn't play particularly bad but its one of those games where you can see we're just one player short. With a couple guys struggling tonight (Bibbs, KJ), we really could have used Hill or Clarke
