There was report about 10:45 this morning from MSN that according to Adam Shefter. Dont'a Hightower had decided to resign with the Patriots. WEEI went crazy because they're on Shefter's prime list and they didn't get anything. They called Shefter and he said that had not tweeted for 25 hours and that the report was totally false. Of course that sent everybody into a frenzy trying to find out how that got national but no one received anything.

Was Shefter hacked??

One thing we do know, Hightower left Pittsburgh last night. Apparently the threat to take their offer off the table didn't endear the Steelers to Dont'a.

Reports out of NY are that Jets did make a big offer but not big enough to get Dont'a to pick up a pen.

Yes this year is different from any other I can recall for the Pat's.
Going all in like it's now or never.
Scary at first because that is not the usual M.O. of them but I have become quite comfortable with the results.

...but what's not scary is that they are not sacrificing anything... They're spending money that's meant to be spent now. They are trading picks to get players that are better and proven than what usually comes from the picks they are trading. It's kinda like a poker player who keeps checking, then suddenly starts to play aggressively.... Nobody else in the game knows what to make of it.

BB is always different. The 2 TE set, 3-4 when everyone else runs a 4-3, bend don't break... BB is always playing chess while others continue to play checkers. Zigging while others are zagging.
