Prime Hakeem was pretty damn good. While I agree Shaq was too big and strong, Shaq had no shot against Hakeem's dream shake. That matchup more or less cancels out.

Why not Curry or Westbrook instead or are they too young to make this list?

They need defense over scoring. They would have plenty of guys who can score the ball, now having an elite shooter like Curry does help but Gary Payton is arguably the best defensive PG of all-time and he could still ball on offense.

Honestly, I would change both lineups up a bit but that was the scenario and I just don't think AI and Kobe would work together. Gotta go team 1. If the teams switched a bit it would help Team B IMO

When they met in the finals, Hakeem outplayed Shaq to the point that to this day, Shaq calls him Mr. Olajuwon. To be fair, Shaq hadn't entered his prime yet. But Hakeem definitely taught him some lessons.

Personally I rank Hakeem ahead of Shaq in my all time top 10, but they are close. Kareem is the only center I would take over Hakeem.

Hard to tell due to different eras but I would put Wilt rt up there with all of them. I realize that Russell held his own against him but Wilt appears to have been dominant in so many categories and was a beast just like Shaq. Of course most of us only know this via reputation and old video.
