Help a brother out. Should I buy this car now or wait and get a 370z next year?

My salesman text me the morning & told me to drop my car off and he'd have it re-detailed since it was raining & nasty as hell Monday night when I bought it. Just picked it back up & it's slicker than owl shit... having

Nice. Now, you can be like the good ole boys in The Dukes of Hazzard.

Poor Tom Wopat facing assault charges.

are you a girl? if yes.. then go ahead... if no then buy a damn truck or jeep
Jeep Wranglers seem to be the #1 choice of high school girls around here these days for some reason. They've replaced the Nissan Altima every girl drove when I was in high school.

My wife has a Jeep Wrangler rubicon. It’s pretty bad ass.

I bought a 2016 GT last year. Same color and same wheels. That color looks good with some black wheels. Good places for mustang parts:
CJ Pony Parts
Late Model Restoration
American Muscle
I initially wanted a GT but after giving this V6 a spin and comparing price/mpg/& insurance, I was beyond satisfied considering I have zero ambition to take it to the track. This sumbitch will absolutely get after it and is a blast to drive.

I don't know, man, next time I need to race my neighbor to the grocery store I'll debate on throwing like $8,000 up a hogs ass. Seriously tho, don't knock the v6 (like I did) til you drive it.

I suppose that’s cool if you want a car that looks fast and don’t care if it’s actually fast.

Yeah right? A V6 mustang? Might as well buy a Camaro

Seriously, the V6 is around 300 HP. Not bad considering the V8 are pulling around 420 to the Crank. They are real efficient too. I imagine that thing is around 30+ MPG. They also have the eco boost which is s I-4 turbo that has more hp and better MPG than the V6.

The 5.0 isn’t for everybody. I’m a “mustang guy” so I’ve become pretty familiar with the coyote engine and I’ve seen some people modify the V6 and ecoboost and get some good HP out of them too. I planning on “voiding my warranty” this spring.

Member the fox body? The GT only pulled 225 HP. I still want to restore one of those and maybe do a coyote swap. My wife hates them. Lol

My brother had a fox body GT that one of his friends built that was running around 500 hp. That thing was pretty damn sweet..... and borderline scary lol.

My mom has a GT. I drove it while my car was in the shop when I was in Alabama a few months ago.

It had extremely short gears. I have never in my life seen a car with such short gears, I did not enjoy driving it at all. 45 mph and I'm needing 5th gear....WTF?

it should be

The truck market pisses me off. I like having a truck, but a full-size is cumbersome for my garage and the crowded streets during tourist season.
At the same time, I don't want some POS Tundra, Honda or Colorado.

I want a midsize, luxury truck with a tow package and 4WD. Is that too much to ask? I guess it is...because I'm stuck with a stupid SUV that smells like the gas I spilled in the back.

AND why isn't everyone clamoring for the 35+ mpg and massive torque from a common rail diesel instead of these stupid huge gas engines in a truck?? They last twice as long as well...most desirous on the salt free roads of FL. The entire truck market sucks.

Depends on the rear end. The 3.31 has pretty tall gears and the 3.73 are too short. I have the 3.55 and they seem a little too short. 5th gear is the 1:1 ratio so that car must have the short set otherwise 5th would want to stall.

I have no idea what the ratio was on it, it was surprising.

Wouldn't be surprised if you could launch in 3rd gear with it though.

I rarely start in 1st. Even 2nd gear wants to hop under 10 mph. I’ve gotten used to it but I’ve had a manual trans pretty much most of my life

It had been about 15 years since I drove a stick I think, but I learned how to drive on them and drove them for years.

Not gonna lie, I like having an automatic now. I doubt I ever own a stick again.

I've only had manuals up until 2015 when I bought my S55 AMG.

But the 7 speed DSG dual clutch slusho box in my Audi S4 is wonderful.
