Wow offseason is looking really bad. This is a BIG loss. One of the best in College.

This one hurts. We’ve been pretty consistent at recruiting great offensive linemen. And the OL is the one unit that has consistently performed well.

surprised he was at Notre Dame as long as he was. Was he ever in consideration to be a head coach? Maybe he never wanted to be one

I don't think so. I don't believe it's his personality type to want a head coaching job.

Word is that Jeff Quinn is the new OL coach. Jeff Fucking Quinn. Not good enough to be a position coach the past few years but enough of a Kelly lickspittke to stay on as an “adviser”.

This is the worst of all moves. The BC line coach would have been the best option followed by the WI LB coach who coached their OL before and in the NFL.

I do t think Quinn is a good recruiter and I’m not really sure what his OL qualifications are.

Between this and the rumors of Kelly interviewing for NFL jobs he should be launched.

He coached offensive line and was the offensive coordinator at Grand Valley State, Central Michigan, and Cincinnati. He coached Joe Staley, and Jason Kelce who are or have been Pro Bowl offensive linemen in the NFL.

Of all the candidates the least qualified IMO. He basically took a demotion to stay by Kelly’s side. Nobody’s been courting the guy for another job and he couldn’t even supplant any other position coach before. This was pretty much the worst candidate on the list.

He was also the head coach at Buffalo. I agree they could have gotten someone better but we'll have to wait and see how he does he has coached some good players at the college level so I guess a little hope there.
