Easy to see why Duke lost this game.

UM FG% = 50.8%
DU FG% = 41.7%

UM 3PFG% = 35%
DU 3FG% = 30%

UM FT = 7/20 = 76.5%
DU FT = 13/17 = 76.5%

UM REB = OR- 11/TR- 33
DU REB = OR- 13/TR- 32

UM TO's = 6
DU TO's = 10

ASSISTS
UM =24
DU =9

Totally dominated by the Canes tonight.

Duke couldn't get a stop on defense to save their lives. Miami was great but still make a freaking stop!

It looked more like Matador Defense to me. Again, if you watch tape of Duke, all you have to do is spread the floor and bring Plumlee's man to the top of the key. When he follows you have a pick and roll or one on one slash to the basket. When someone else comes to help you can dump it off. A good high school team could beat Duke right now. I dont believe even with Jefferson they could stop Miami. I look for a loss at GaTech, Louisville and Carolina will be sweeps, loss at Pitt, and maybe just a Home loss against UVA and NC State. That should pretty much make it an NIT type season. I wish Jefferson would red shirt.

I also believe that once Duke went M2M, Miami scored on every possession except 2.

Duke's percentage of opponent shots that are at the rim, in the hoop-math era:

2012: 34.7%
2013: 34.5%
2014: 34.8%
2015: 33.8%
2016: 42.7%

When the defense cannot protect the basket it doesn't matter how many 3 pointers you hit in a game. And most of those are likely rebound stick backs.

Which apparently that's all Duke does now. Yeah I don't think they could have with Jefferson. but once again Miami shows their true thug colors!
