By cardale? I dont disagree necessarily but it's hard to take Jones out after the Natty win

They both got screwed by Tim Beck that season. We played to Barrett's strengths when Cardale was in and Cardale's strengths when Barrett was in. It was mind boggling.

Losing Devin smith hurt too, but I agree Beck fucked us

Yes it did. We still had Michael Thomas, Braxton Miller, Jalin Marshall, and Elliot who was a great catching RB. No excuse for the passing game to be as bad as it was that year.

That year reminded me of a Cooper year. Specifically 95 or 98. All the talent in the world but just didnt get it done.

Whenever Cooper's name in mentioned I get pissed. His 2-10-1 record was inexcusable.

No matter what JT does some people will always have an issue w/ him. I happy for him that he had that great game against Penn State.

After his last performance, hard to argue against replacing him?
Replacing him? No way...he is playing better than he was in Sept. Plus ohio st doesn't have a better option presently so its a case of simple math.

My issues with JT have always been about his confidence and decision making. After the 2014 season ending injury, JT started to play scared and his decision making seemed hesitant. I never had a problem with the supposed inability to throw a deep ball that media harked on. There were legitimate excuses during the games he struggled (mostly weather related) and the lack of wide receivers and o-line caused issues.

With Beck gone, I expected to see better. And while some of the issues were fixed, JT was still hesitant and just a bit off even when statistically doing well against lesser competition.

What I saw in the Maryland game and Nebraska game was not the same JT. Instantly he looked confident and fast. He didn't hesitate to run with ball. His check downs were fast and he started moving through his progressions almost violently. Something woke his ass up, and we all see what he did in the Penn St. game. Dixon, Mack, Hill, and Mclaurin have made great strides and have helped JT immensely. Paris and Victor would be amazing too if they could stop freakin' fumbling.

Apparently PFF didn't believe JT's performance deserved B10 player of the week honors. Gave it to Iowa's QB lol

That just means JT will put up better performance this weekend. Talk about a guy who gets no respect from the outside.

IS there QB in the country that is more bipolar than JT? WTF is up with this? Just a week ago he was possibly a Heisman finalist, but then he poops himself badly anf here we are w 2 losses and possibly another in the coming week or two? I would not take scUM lightly now after seeing this shitshow performance. MSU will be determined to take us down with the divsion on the line. I'm just lost for words about this team. And btw, I am glad this was the one game I missed while I was out of town on business. Glad I wasn't around a tv.
