Has there ever been a documented perfect bracket in history?

With the whole win a billion dollars for getting a perfect bracket, I wondered this. I know the odds are greater of winning the lottery, but I wondered if it had ever happened.

A quick search of several search engines says "NO". I have on the other hand picked MSU to win a National Championship and 6 Final Fours. It's very scientific, I pick them to win every year!:suds:

The odds are pretty absurdly low. Just the round of 64 there are over 4 billion possible outcomes.

Wasn't there an ESPN employee some years back that picked a perfect bracket? Even though she posted it before the tournament began, she could receive the reward because she was an ESPN employee. I cannot find it, but am looking.

No, she "won" but that is just an accumulation of points. Not a perfect bracket.

A few years ago Liam's mom from Mike and Mike in the Morning picked in the 99.9 percentile. She lives in the UK. She knows nothing about college basketball.

That was pretty funny.

She also had the Chicago Bears going 15-1 and winning the Superbowl a few years ago. Sadly, that did not happen.

I came pretty close one year...only missed 8 or 13 games.

Yeah, I think I placed 16th out of 25 once in a bracket challenge.

My best year was when I had 7 of the elite 8 and 3 of the final four. When George Mason made the Final Four in early 2000s, I had that. I struggled early on. I had Michigan State going to the Final Four, it was the team that beat them 1st round that did.

Picked Louisville and IU in one bracket last year and Louisville and Michigan in another, for the NCG. Of course I picked IU and Michigan winning it all, respectively... So I've got that going for me.

The year Kent State went to the Elite 8 with Antonio Gates, I had that. I think I was around 1,000th place in ESPNs challenge at one point which was pretty good because it would out of like 8 million.

I picked Arizona to win the championship every year. Even when they were in the NIT i rigged it so that I could pick Arizona.

I am 1 for 22 since I became an Arizona fan in 1991!!!

How many different permutations can you get out of 64 schools you math majors out there?

63 games and two ways to pick each one...

2^63 = 9,223,372,036,854,775,808 ways to fill out a bracket.
