I don't think Stoops has lost control. These guys just start to think they are above the rest of society and can and should be able to get away with anything and everything. I'm sure Stoops like all the other coaches preach to they guys all the time about right and wrong. There is only so much the coaches can do.

This is a bit of a lazy take. We all knew that Cobb had issues coming out of school. Story was his dad wanted him to get away from his hometown, because of the element he was hanging out with. Coaches still pursued, but let's not pretend they didn't ignore the red flags
