havent found one article about miami turning down the sec, but there are a few talking about the ole ball coach from uf who didnt want to play both miami and fsu plus sec schedule

and a few articles about bowden not wanting to see fsu in the sec

all i know is as far as weather miami is built for the heat not the north east as most of the sec is built the same way

Yes we did but at the time it was an entire different situation, the Canes didn't really need the SEC.

I doubt Miami ever goes to the SEC.
