I'm sure he would prefer to wear the garb from his strip club.

There should be a huge fine associated with this.

So I guess guys can just wear whatever they want then. That will end well if true.

Also this is much adu about nothing. This is actually the only place that I see anyone even talking about it in a negative way.

Just look up the NBA sneaker policy. He isn't violating anything

Meek Mill doesn't seem like your cup of tea so I doubt you know much (if anything) about his situation

His sentence is way too harsh .
Dude violated probation multiple times, apparently... he called the thunder upon himself.

It was 2 times. I just think 2-4 years is a bit much. I was thinking they would have gave him close to a year. Was shocked by the amount of time.

But as I said before that doesn't matter here. Point is Harden isn't violating anything.

The sentence isn't necessarily for the parole violations (his wikipedia page says there have been 4 such violations)... it is dependant on the original charges that he was on parole for in the first place... in this case, drug dealing and gun charges.

Fair enough, on this point.

If the existence of a better cause means that a cause isn't worthwhile... then there's a whole hell of a lot of important causes that get left out in the cold.

Its good that we are all diversified in our causes... I'm ok with movements that I don't understand or agree with having a champion to give them a voice.

Reading up on this it doesn't seem like much of a cause. Rich guy with a long record and an anger management problem gets in trouble again. Another rich guy comes to his aid hoping some sheep will line up behind him. If any of us pulled half the shit that he did there wouldn't be any parole to violate to begin with because we'd still be locked up.

Whatever happened to "not breaking the law so you don't get thrown in jail and therefore don't have to worry about your sentence being too harsh or violating your probation?"

Is that not a cause anymore? :noidea:

This reeks of common sense and accountability

Yeah... this doesn't seem like a case of folks looking down upon a lesser good cause because better causes are out there...

This isn't a good or even sorta good cause to begin with. Rather, it's a bad cause. Dude violated parole 4 separate times before he got the book thrown at him... and the original charges involve dealing drugs and guns.

Let's not act like we're all perfect now lol. I believe the original charges took place when he was 18. We were all doing something dumb and stupid at that age.

The fact that he's been on probation for 10 years is ridiculous. I never heard of anyone else being on probation for 10 years.

Once again I have no issue with Harden wearing these sneakers or saying free Meek.

This isn't an situation like Aaron Hernandez when one of the Pouncey brothers (if not both) were saying free Hernandez who was obviously a killer. Harden is saying free Meek because he is back in jail basically for riding a dirt bike in NYC lol

2-4 years is just insane. You got people killing others on video in broad day light in this country who doesn't serve jail time so yeah I'm without question against Meek serving 2-4 years for violating his probation
