Jim Harbaugh telling recruits Pep Hamilton to join UM's staff

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh has been telling recruits over the past few days that Cleveland associate head coach/offense Pep Hamilton will be joining the staff, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported per a source informed of the situation.

The two men would reunite after both were on Stanford's coaching staff in 2010, Harbaugh's last season at the helm in Palo Alto.

Pep was a hot hot name in CFB in that 2010-2011 time period. I think his name was thrown around for some head coaching gigs. He is a good coach.

The Browns are cleaning house with their defensive staff and will have hirings to make on offense, too. The former Colts offensive coordinator, Hamilton played second fiddle to offensive-minded Hue Jackson during his one year with the Browns. At Michigan, Hamilton will reunite with Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh after the two coached together at Stanford in 2010.

Just an amazing hire. We pulled a current offensive coordinator from an NFL team that wants to keep him for a downgrade in title.....when does that ever happen? Needless to say, this should (shockingly) be an upgrade. Harbaugh doesn't it again with staffing hires, gone are the days of Borges.

Michigan will now have 3 coordinators making more than a million bucks per year. That's crazy money.
