5 more days. Cannot fucking wait to play Halo 2 multiplayer again.

Everything you would expect it to be. You can also switch from classic to new graphics instantaneously which is pretty cool. It's annoyingly hard to find a matchmaking game but they're fixing that apparently.

I haven't gotten to the multiplayer yet (which is the best part) but for now I'm just playing the campaign with some people who haven't had Halo before. We're a little over half way through Halo 3 on legendary so far (this is the first of the games in the series you can play with 2 other people).

The more I play the more it feels like Destiny and Halo are essentially the same game except Halo has a lot more content. The structure of the battles down to the characteristics of the enemies is exactly the same minus the sprint button.

For those that have played the multiplayer how is the Halo 4 game play? I put down Halo after Reach because the gameplay changed so drastically. It felt like they were trying to make a COD for Halo when they had a good thing going. Plus they nerfed the heck out of the melee which was crucial for success in multiplayer for the first three installments of the franchise.

From a multiplayer and achievement (won't unlock) standpoint for sure. I think this is a game most people were fine to go back and play the campaign while online play is patched though.

And why port the PC versions of it? I hate that they included the hit registration for shots/grenades/etc. You shouldn't be able to throw a random nade around a corner and be able to know someone's there. It's game breaking.

They still haven't been able to fix matchmaking multiplayer. They nailed it a decade ago on the original Xbox with Halo2 but couldn't do it today? And the in game party system....anything but campaign is unplayable.

it's a huge failure.

the master chief collection may never be fixed when it comes to matchmaking, unfortunately. it feels like 343 is just going to rope-a-dope us along until Halo 5 comes out, and then shift their focus 100% to that game.

a lot of pros now feel like they were lied to by 343 in order to get their endorsement for a broken game.

just a shame.

H1 and H2 work very well. No more anti-aim in Halo 1. Thank god.

There's still work to be done, but it's a start.

I am picking this up in June for the boys' birthday.

Really is a good deal imo.

I am also switching to the xbone for cod when I buy it.

Our ps4 is always and I mean AlWAYS being used. So might as well get the xbone as well.

I've really loved the ps4 so far and heard most games run better on it but Halo has always been my fav and I don't want to miss out on it

This is a pretty good piece on The Flood and how it positively affects the gameplay. I never really thought of that and I see his point.

But seriously, fuck The Flood. The Library was fucking bitch to play.

Finally got the x1 bundle with Master Chief collection. Picked up sunset overdrive as well.

So far I like the x1 controller better. The PS4 console is much smaller and not a big power block so that's a plus. Liking the ps4 home screen better too but that may be b/c im more familiar with it.

If anyone wants to brodown on legendary let's do it

I like action sack a lot, too. But it's still a glitchy, nonsensical mess with matchmaking. Pretty obvious they don't give a fuck about it, either. It's taken almost a year to get it even this functional, and Halo 5 comes out in a couple months.

It's going to be interesting to see if their promise of dedicated servers for nearly all game play are for real.

If so, the latency issues fix should make for a lot better competition.
