My perspective from being at the game: It was that horseshit DPI call leading to a Carolina TD that got the crowd going full tilt. It was an atrocious call, especially after watching DK get bear hugged 5 yards into the end zone earlier in the game with no flag.

That stupid intentional grounding penalty got the crowd going as well...

I think you will find most of us here on the Hoop are long time fans and don't even like the whole "12's" schtick all that much. I go back to the late 70s when they were still young as well. Remember lots of Zorn to Largent calls. Also remember the old Kingdome shaking and rattling. Seattle has always had loud, raucous fans that get the joint jumping.

I don't have issues with Seahawks fans, or most other fans for that matter. The Seahawks were part of the NFL when I became an NFL fan in the early 1980's. I never had gotten around to finding out when they became a team, not that it really mattered. I did wonder if you were testing me with the 70s though. lol.

1976 baby!

I was a Steeler fan in the 70's when I was 7, 8 9 yrs old and I remember watching the Steelers whoop up on the Seahawks in the living room at my grandpa's and he laid in to me like there was no tomorrow... I remember it to this day... In a nutshell, he said I should be supporting our local teams... Ever since then, I've been a diehard Seahawk, Mariner, Sonics (when they were a thing) and Washington St Cougar fan... I live in Spokane, WA... I am actually happy my Grandpa showed me some tough love that day... Great memories actually... I would watch the Seahawks with grandpa almost every weekend until he past away in the early 90's...

There are some who claim to have watched NFL since in diapers with granpa when games were still in B&W 14” tv. That’s like really old.

Well, I'm not going to get into the Grandpa and diapers thing because my Grandpa never owned a TV in his life, lol. But I was 17 when Seattle came into the league and was pretty much a Raider fan at the time. Always loved the Raiders/ Steelers rivalry back then. A big Kenny "the snake" Stabler fan. But the Hawks quickly grew on me and I've been a fan ever since.
