Just tossing it in here but speaking of AP/coaches poll we finished ranked in the post season rankings for the first time since 2011..

Any guesses at where we will be in the pre season rankings?

I'm sure many will wait until Grier's eligibility is finally determined before giving WVU an unanimous top 25 preseason ranking.

Quite a few of the way too early preseason rankings have WVU between #20-#25.

For anyone like DAD who obviously doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about...

Selection Committee FAQs | College Football Playoff

Is there a recusal policy in place for committee members?

Yes. Committee members will be recused from participating in votes involving a school’s team if they or an immediate family member receives compensation from the school or has a professional relationship with that school. The committee has the option to add other recusals if special circumstances arise. To learn more about the recusal policy and to view the selection committee protocol in its entirety, click here.

What are the terms of the recusal policy?
A recused member shall not participate in any votes, nor be present during deliberations involving the team’s selection or seeding, but may answer factual questions about the institution from which the member is recused. The recusal policy is virtually identical to the NCAA men’s basketball committee policy.

So you are saying that guys with an SEC, B11, B12, ACC, PAC job don't favor schools from their own league??? Who is it that is fooled? The system is biased toward the big names, period. Are you saying that if a guy from Ohio U, a guy from Temple, and a guy from Boise had been on the committee this year things may not have been different? You really think Alvarez didn't vote favorably towards OSU? WOW, you are a special one...

Kirby is not the most articulate man I've ever heard. He must be one of the most respected... to be selected chairman by the management committee is quite an honor.

Funny to read the article. Compares the mess of WVU vs OU... sites the computer controlled formulaic system of the BCS... and asks readers of his article if they miss it.

That is a fucking joke! The computers were 1/3 of the formula. The computers agreed with the CFP rankings at the top. Computers often voted OU quite a bit higher than WVU.

Sagarin has WVU #28 in his final rankings.

I bet they spent more time talking about how to get Michigan in and Washington out than anything to do with WVU.....his comments show that Oklahoma was the only B12 team they even thought about.....
