i'm not giving up! Just stop turning the Goddamn ball over. And no substitution penalties. And leaving DB's on an island on 3rd/4th and long.

:agree:

Then again, I think all that was obvious from watching.

In spite of all the mistakes, they might have STILL pulled it off due to heroics, if they played a little more conservatively at the end. And yes, I'm talking about that last interception, which was really a game giveaway.

I'm not giving up either but we're probably gonna need a hell of a lot of help in the Coastal. Because right now, I think we lose at least 1 likely 2 more games.

So Eddie D'Antuono now has a scholy per a Hughes tweet. Good for him. Any others that we know of? I couldn't believe we never heard anything about Rogers getting one BEFORE this last season. Surely he has one by now, right? And Slye? Others?

Alexander and Clark look ready to help right away. Burke looks heavy. Is Lydon too big for Bud's system? Who is Moon?

I have no problem with a big ole TE. If he can catch, he will be a great guy to have for blocking with that size who can sneak out on play action.

Too big is rarely an issue. Too slow is a different story but it would be nice to have a big ole Mike LB for playing teams like Pitt and BC. Might be a situational kind of guy if he isn't fast enough for every down against all our opponents.

Rogers got his scholly after the 2013 football season for the spring semester I believe. He was only paying his way for the 1 semester.

from what I heard, hardly anyone from their team will be leaving early. A lot of the guys we would want to leave early are too young to as well.

Good point. We certainly need some personal flexibility at LB depending on matchup.

Sounds like Bucky was arrested this weekend and charged with public swearing/intoxication

From Roanoke Times
The 19-year-old Hodges was booked and released on bond from Montgomery County Jail early this morning. It's a misdemeanor charge.

Blacksburg police Lt. Nathan O'Dell said Hodges was arrested around 12:30 Sunday morning in one of the parking lots at The Edge Apartments in Blacksburg.

Blacksburg PD would slap a football player with a felony for looking at them wrong if they could.

It's a pretty minor offense, and should be well resolved by the beginning of next season.

Hopefully, they can avoid any missed game time.

Guess he must not have looked at them wrong, then, since he only got charged with a misdemeanor?

This is one of those situations where you're a bit disappointed but shrug it off since its really just collegiate mischief thousands of kids get themselves into. You just look at him and say "don't let it happen again".

Although, I must say he must have been extra uncooperative to get arrested. I won't name names but I've been around several players in my days in the Burg that were stumbling around drunk and belligerent with the PoPo around and as long as you moved along, everything was ok.

They arrest you and hold you until you sober up and then release you. You get a fine and that is it. It is a very minor offense. There are far worse things he could have gotten in trouble for.
