Hmm Barkley and Nelson are the easy discussions to have since they are the best players in the class by a decent margin IMO to boot.

I don't see any of the QBs coming close. Darnold has confidence and turnover issues, Rosen needs to mature and could be Bortles #2, Allen is WAY to raw, if you can't complete 60%+ of your passes in college good luck in the NFL. Who is the other guy? uhhh... oh yah Mayfield... meh.

Probably the QB with the best shot is if a contender (Pittsburgh, New England, even San Diego, top 5 D, etc.) selects one late. None of the QBs that are getting taken early are immediate starting material IMO. They all need to sit. I guess if the Giants take someone that gives them a legit shot too since Eli will start this year, but the Giants team is terrible and OBJ will prob. walk after this year to FA.

For shits and giggles

I’d throw a dart at Roquan Smith and Derwin James I guess. Nelson maybe? It’s all kind of absurd.

Yeah I was more talking to the idea not who said it lol

It's true to a point, in that you always need to pick the best players possible. However, if you let your self be blinded by upside instead of real production, you get some horrible busts as a result.

The reality is this draft will see more guys not drafted in the 1st round end up making the HOF than guys drafted in the first round. I know the odds are that way, but still what will happen.

I think Michael Dickson (Texas) has a chance to make the HOF. Maybe the Giants take him at #2?

This is hysterical coming from the Giants
>Create huge shitstorm by implying you will trade a potential HOF talent at WR

>Immediately turns around and acts like they're drafting a HOF'er at 2, can make the playoffs with a zombified Eli Manning, and trade Odell while doing so.

>Imply they won't take a QB despite the above

>Proceeds to act like this totally makes sense

For as much as I like Chubb, I get the impression looking at his college career and athletic profile he will probably just be pretty good. Still super valuable, but I doubt HOF potential is there.

Perfect! Exactly how we want it

Keep all possibilities open with the star WR, publicly demand a kings ransom

Dont tip your hand at all about your intentions with the #2 pick, toss out smoke screens left and right

Its all good from my perspective

Possible guys:

Barkley
Nelson
Rosen
Roquon Smith (if he landed with a 4-3 team that put him at WLB).

Minkah Fitzpatrick - has the skills to do it, but more importantly has the work ethic and drive to make it happen.
