I haven't really followed the Badgers this year because I didn't think they make it this far...would appreciate match-up dialogue. I wish I would've watched the Villanova game.

Of course, I didn't follow Florida as much as usual either because so many of their early games were so ugly...thought the season was kinda' hopeless. With our very good center out in the season's last game, I didn't even watch the 1st round because I thought we fall apart.

Kudos to corch White for reshuffling and putting everything back together.

In FL's game yesterday, UVA was playing so poorly, it looked like an early season cupcake game.
Without FL's center, they played scrappy, small and fast yesterday and it worked. Funny they didn't think to try that sooner.

If FL stays loose and can hit 3s, it'll be a fun watch. If they have to settle in and look for better shots, the Badgers will probably have an easy game. That's all I can figure.

My brother (UW MBA) asked if I'd like to make a bet! I replied:

Well, there will be no betting with me, for having attended America's university already provides plentiful winning.

But seriously, UF has no center. He was our star player and was injured in the last game of the regular season. Against two scrappy teams, UF was able to do well. However, the plodding, slow and dim-witted Badgers will present a huge, white front. Therefore, if Florida has a hot night for 3s, they can win. However, without hot shooting and a 7 footer, UW will have a pretty easy night.
UF's full court pressure is withering, but UW should be smart enough to pass over it.

In summary, I'd be a damned fool to bet precious resources on whether UF has a hot night for 3s. Just remember, there's something magical about Florida. Our teams tend to rise to the challenge and often win against ridiculous odds. In this case, the odds are probably 70/30 in UW's favor.

You might enjoy seeing Canyon Barry playing for Florida. That's Rick Barry's son and he even shoots free throws granny-style like his ol' man...and never misses, either.

Wisky winning probably helps me more for my office pool.

But frankly I need whoever wins Baylor/USC to go to the FF to really have a chance of staying in front (although Zags/WVU and Kansas/UNC will also play heavy roles in that).
