The 49ers won't let Jimmy G become a FA.

agreed. the 49ers have an enormous amount of cap space. they will throw a ridiculous amount of money at him.

Garropolo looks very good. However, given that it is the patriots, they will find another great QB that Belichick molds.

what young QB has Belichick ever 'molded' other than Brady that has ever done anything?

ryan mallett?
matt cassell?
brian hoyer?

just like the pats coaches that go on to become head coaches, the young QB's he 'molds' typically turn out to be very mediocre.

Belichick is a ex DC , he doesn't mold QB's, plain and simple. Either you have it or don't have it, but it is tough to mold backups, you need playing time. Look at Hundley from GB, looked like crap first few games and then improved with every snap. Goff from Rams like like Jeckyl and Hyde from last season. he would have been cut if he was a backup they brought to Rams to start, and not no#1 pick you know its gonna take some time

Truth be told, the 49ers were dumb as fuck to start him until week 16. They lost how many spots in the draft. Take the 3rd pick and trade out of it for one of the scrub QB's who everyone wants.

I feel like they brought in Garoppolo to replace Brady. When Brady looks like he will play another 3-5 years the GM made a decision to find another QB to replace him. In today’s nfl, it’s not hard to find a good QB. A great QB takes grooming. Garopolo was groomed to the max by the best coach in the league even though he had to be traded. I feel like the pats can find just as good of a project at QB and train him to be good before Brady retires.

Also, with each win Jimmy will demand more money. Basically they have to pay him whatever he wants or else franchise him and deal with that backlash.

SF has zero negotiating leverage. Jimmy G has it all.

Even if you hate Tom Brady passionately that was a great play!
You know the DB was like WTF am I supposed to do?

EDIT: Love some of the posts on that Twitter feed!

Good luck to the Steelers today, Pitt v NE will be a much better game than Jax v NE.:suds:
