I hate being so worried about a shitty opponent!!!

Honestly I'm not concerned one bit.

We just got beat at home by a down Northern Illinois team. A loss to Rutgers would basically send Riley packing and that is about all that it would do.

We are already at rock bottom regardless of how this game goes this weekend. Just hoping we come out and demolish them.

Lots of anxiety about who replaces MR though...we need to hit pay dirt already!

I'm actually hoping that these new inserts into the O-line are actually good tomorrow and prove to Cavanaugh that he should have mixed things up earlier.

At this point, getting these young guys game experience can only help down the road.

Rutgers fan here. The line is telling, in my opinion, although college football lines aren't always great barometers. Nebraska has looked bad and they're still a 13 point favorite over Rutgers. I would have thought the line would be closer to 9 or 10, based on both teams' performances to date (maybe lack of respect for Rutgers and too much respect for Nebraska from casual bettors plays into that . . . I don't know).

Rutgers played a good game against Washington but were obviously outmatched. The defense looked really good and held Washington to 10 points in the first half. 7 of those 10 points came off a 60 yard punt return touchdown. Things sort of fell apart slowly in the second half, though Rutgers hung in there until fairly late in the 3rd quarter.

They followed it up with an awful performance against Eastern Michigan where they let up two 70+ yard drives at the end of the 3rd quarter and in the 4th quarter to lose the game.

Rutgers has always had a decent running game but they've got two promising young WRs (Bo Melton and Ahmir Mitchell) and potential NFL-caliber return specialist / big play WR in Janarion Grant. If Rutgers is going to have any chance against Nebraska, they'll need some big plays out of those guys. I don't see it happening. The team just isn't that good. I'm thinking Nebraska wins something like 27-10.

We literally have no idea what to expect out of Nebraska. More of the same is probably the biggest sentiment. Nebraska has some very key injuries, but they were sucking as a whole prior to those.

Best of luck to the players of both teams in staying healthy going forward.

Most of us on here would normally call you a troll and tell you to fuck yourself but, there may be some truth to your comment.

It's been a long time since I've got drunk as hell watching a Husker game. But I pick up a bottle of 18 year old single malt Laphroaig yesterday. If the Huskers go down today I will grabbing a draw glass and pouring a nine finger glass of it.

I remember the same stuff said about Pedersen. They need to get the AD hire right this time. I don't care how long it takes but to get it right is number one thing. So saying that Riley might just be here for one more year. If that's the case hopefully Cav is not here and DL is either not here or just the QB coach.
