Game Thread: Game 13 @ Bucs

Need to win them all from here on out if there is going to be a realistic chance at the playoffs.

Stafford is expected to play and AA is not so there is a real chance to win this game. Joe Dahl is back too so maybe he can help the O-line because most of the guys are banged up. Safety is still an issue as we dont have an inforcer. Killibrew has flopped so far in his opportunity to run with that job when Tavon went down.

I want to see more Tion Green and Michael Roberts. I would expect we wont see Ebron here next year (and hopefully not AA either) so I want to see if either of these guys could be replacements.

Not sure what to do with the D-line. They are ineffective against both run and pass. A'shawn might have 3 blockers on him this week. No need to worry about anyone else. Maybe they can roll some new guy out there that surprises us.

The Lions have been losing at home far too often this year. They have won more on the road than in years gone by. If they can beat a bad Bucs team on the road, it means little or nothing except they are technically still in it for a playoff spot. Don't hold your breath; it won't make you turn Honolulu Blue.

My concern is losing at home - that is unacceptable. Once, and a close game to a team with a winning record, may be understandable. More than that and the Lions are exposed for being poorly led from the sidelines. The players aren't losing these games; the coaching staff isn't guiding them to a win.

I've taken the stand that the coaching staff needed to be given time to mold this team with a competent front office. Well, the coaches were in place before the front office improved with BQ. Player personnel is better today than before BQ arrived. Times up. The biggest piece holding the Lions back now is the coaching staff. Pay Caldwell the remainder of his contract, offer him a job in player personnel if he really is that good with player relations, but get him off the sidelines and put a game leader in his place.

Yeah, and certainly they now know that after watching it. He took 2 steps with possession of the ball, so it was obviously complete and it obviously was not a PF. I dont think a penalty can be changed on review. What a mess.
