Fuck you. That was completely unacceptable. It's a shame he wasn't struck down on his way back to the dugout.
Well, they were on the road......

Kapler might be the first person since Adam Eaton to get booed by the home fans during a season-opening introduction.
Yeah, if they don't keep getting rained out he has a couple more games to prove himself. Or else he could be reduced to this option

I'm not going to overreact to 3 games, and like I've said before, I'm more ok with him yanking Nola than most everyone else. I don't think I personally would have done it at the time, but I'm ok with saving the rotation, and outside of Freddie Freeman, the Braves' lineup is pretty mediocre. Our BP should be able to hold a 5 run lead.

That being said, I saw this today:

When asked about the inauspicious beginning to his managerial career, Kapler spoke for more than a minute about the “long view.” How he was thinking about New York. How his lineup is seeing so many pitches. How his hitters have put the fat part of the bat on the ball. How his rotation is filled with a couple of horses. How some of the young pitchers have limitless potential.

Then, he proclaimed his team would make the playoffs.

The fuck? Did he really do that? After a huge fuck up and ass-whupping in which you had to use a position player to pitch and didn't give your reliever enough time to warm up, you talk about the positive things you saw?

And then you proclaim that you're going to make the playoffs? After 3 games (2 of which you lost)?

That shit makes him look like such a tool. How about some results before the playoff proclamations, Kap.

"10 more years!!!"

Only if you guys bring back Omar Minaya as GM.

Ahhh, he was all right. There were really only a couple things wrong with Omar:

1) all that he said
2) all that he did

At the moment I'm still amused by Kapler but it is shocking how little managerial experience he has and it is strange that they would just let him learn on the fly. I'm wondering if he won the managerial job in an arm wrestling contest or something. The guy is completely out of control with the tanning/body building. It's like they hired John Cena

has he proven he is able to do a double switch yet?

that was the biggest knock against Charlie.

I take back my earlier comment. John Cena is out of shape compared to "Kap". Just focus on the games, Gabe

I think he must have. That first game it seemed like he went through 4 pitchers before he used a pinch-hitter.

Well, they were on the road......
I meant by lightning.

And then while he's twitching there Nola goes back on the mound like nothing happened.

I'll give Kapler a little credit. Syndegaard was on today but they ran his pitch count up and got him out of the game after 4 innings. I can't imagine that happening the last couple years. Might have been influenced a little by the manager.
