Amen.

I like the Dupuis signing though. 2-year, manageable deal.. great guy, the MOST versatile of any Penguin, 1st line, 4th line, pk specialist.... dude plays his role.

Yeah and to think he was the throw in on the Hossa deal.

BTW...new rumor is they moved on from Rupp and are focusing on Asham.

Yep, as soon as Rupp turned down the latest offer, Shero signed Asham for 775k. Once he gets a final look at the game board setup, ol Ray doesnt waste time moving pieces, does he haha.

Hopefully Asham can stay healthy all season. He was great once he got healthy and the playoffs started.

Jagr-Malkin-Asham line? hahaha

Max Talbot is the newest Flyer...good lord.

5-year deal when his last two years were mud....HAHAHAHA

Keep him, Flyers, thank you. He is an attention whore and wants to be on 24/7 again I guess.

My biggest problem is now I have to take down the 'Shhhh' 8x10 on my man-cave wall that hangs with the autographed stick of his.

Yeah that along with Rupp going to the Rangers. Talbot and Rupp's contracts are overpriced but good for them getting the money. It is not going to be fun seeing them in those uni's but oh well.

I thought Kennedy was going to get a lot on the open market that ended up being a better deal than I thought (still higher than I would like) since all the teams that need to hit the cap floor.

Yea I bet he'd have gotten 3 million plus if Kennedy had hit the market.

Well, Rupp... good luck.. but Talbot can rot in that festering hole just west of Camden..

Add Jason Williams to the mix. 1 year two-way contract for 600K. Looks to be insurance/AHL filler at this point.

Yea, not a bad pickup. He's had a 20 goal and a 19 goal season recently.. Can't be worse than Comrie, PLUS he has a 2-way.

Great point! Really have to give it to RS on this one after Satan and Comrie with the one-way deals. He finally got that marginal player on a two-way contact. Just like the Enforcer that is great having him on a two-way deal so he isn't tied to a roster spot all season.

Funny....The Penguins are already pretty much the most hated for employing Cooke just imagine if they had Ruutu and Cooke.

I'm sure Cooke would LOVE to have the microscope moved over to another player.

Plus, I know they are both hated, but they both are great on the PK, both good for 10 goals or more a season, and both are better off ON the Pens than playing against them.

The whole hated thing was a joke, anyway who cares what others think because with both of them on the team the bottom 6 is a lot tougher and less teams would take their liberties on the likes of Crosby/Malking knowing both are there to do the same along with Asham.

I think this team has gotten wayyy easier to pay against with the losses of Rupp, Godard, and Talbot. Grit is needed big time. It doesnt need to be a Ruutu (not sure I can take THAT many more penalties this year hahaha) but some more toughness is still needed.

I need a list of the FA's still left, but I think the Winchester is still out there, prolly cheap, as well as Ruutu. Vitale in WilkesBarre may be ready to make the jump, he'd be a help in that department.

I think the team's plenty tough. Never saw much of a reason for pure tough guy players anyway. Maybe they'll drop the gloves less, but with the speed and skill they have, they'll just, you know, win games and stuff.

I agree with that having Godard for that many years on a one way hurt. I think signing MacIntyre to a two-way deal was a good move that way he doesn't take cap space and a roster spot.

Ruutu would be nice to keep this bottom 6 tougher but the more I thought about it the bottom 6 right now (maybe the exception is Asham) fits the mold of a Bylsma.

On another note both Morrow and Harrington under contract.

Sorry, Dark, I meant 'tougher to play against' as Shero calls it.

The Cup Finals this year, Boston ground down Vancouver. Over 7 games. With grit.

Talbot gone, even though he was an offensive dud since 2009, he was a real pain on the ice. Hitting and agitating.
Rupp was even more of a hitting mashing grinding machine, and if you didn't like it, he had cinder-block hands to have a discussion with.

Godard was just there to clean up if the other team didnt like what the other top-8 was doing.

Without Rupp and Talbot, Penguins are easier to play against. And face it, Godard was about as good of a goon as there is, if Shero insists on having one. Like loyal pit-bull. Ask Brent Johnson haha.
