rice cooked with chicken stock instead of water.

Grits cooked with milk or heavy cream or a combo of both instead of water. Oh yea, and add the salt and butter while boiling, not afterwards.

Grilled Steak.

Personally think any other method is a waste of a good steak. Not that they don't taste good, just that it tastes better grilled at a much higher heat.

Green beans with bacon grease and/or bits of bacon.

Eggs are complex.

If it's eggs and nothing else, scrambled in butter is my go to. If you know how to go cook them right anyway, most people don't and they make shitty scrambled eggs that aren't good for anything.

But at the same time, nothing is better than a fried over easy egg sandwich and using the end pieces to sop up the yolk.

I have a sister-in-law who is picky about her food like a 5 yr old child. The ONLY way she'll eat eggs is scrambled, and they MUST be cooked in a glass tupperware dish in a microwave, it comes out as this nasty rubbery-looking eggloaf. Fucking ridiculous

Boar's head ham sliced paper thin. Any thicker and it's insanely gross.

I eat eggs for breakfast every day.

Good scrambled eggs is an art that takes practice. They must have the right texture and consistency or it's a no go. Cook them for just a few seconds too long and they will be too dry and a few seconds too short and too runny.

Also gotta work the spatula right so you have 1 big blob of egg that's all connected rather than little chunks of eggs that fall apart like ground beef.

And anyone who adds milk is doing it wrong.

Most people seem to end up with dry crumbled ground beef looking scrambled eggs. I'd throw that shit in the garbage.

Eggs on the left don't look too bad overall, just a little overdone. They still look good enough to eat, but it would be disappointing. Eggs on the right are perfect.

Cook the bacon first, then scramble the eggs in a bit of the bacon grease...

It's ok that way, but I find butter to be better, especially for scrambled.
