In all honesty, Eddie O is a great guy. Really great guy. I've had the pleasure to meet him a couple of times, and he is as genuine a person as you'll ever meet.

Is he the right guy to be a head coach at LSU? Probably not. Great recruiter. Great voice for your program, just probably not the main man in charge of it all. Players will always love him, and I would have loved to play for a guy like him.

Agree 100%. Even with how things ended when he didn't get the HC job at USC, you can't find anyone with a negative thing to say about him. In fact, if memory serves, Sark tried to convince him to come back to USC and literally everyone at USC was all for it.

When he turned things around after Kiffin got fired, a lot of folks were on the hire Ed O bandwagon. I was even on that bandwagon until that seasons UCLA game. In that game, Mora exposed his 2 biggest weaknesses. He's not great at game planning and even worse at in game/halftime adjustments.

His buyout this year is 18 million. The entire STATE doesn't have 18 million. They damn near declared bankruptcy last year.

They won't be able to fire him until 2020 unless they get an influx of cash soon
