he pulled a Nadal on Rafa... losing before meeting him and potentially getting destroyed due to tournament fatigue ( too many five setters and DelPo). Well there is the year end championship both should be fresh

2017: FED loses to Del Potro in the QF. Would have faced Nadal in the SF.
