It's close for me, but I went with Greek food. Nothing better than lamb over rice, especially when you can get a huge ass portion of it with a soda and a pack of smokes for $8 in most inner-city Greek jawns. Chinese and Mexican are runners-up. What do you guys like?

Mexican, with Italian in 2nd place. Italian food is too heavy too eat regularly.

I would agree with that. Imagine eating a stromboli every other day for dinner

How incredibly xenophobic of you. All of these cultures can still be American.

Shame, shame.

as an Italian-American, I don't see Italian as an "ethnic" food. That is just food for me.

I like Japanese (sushi, mainly) and Indian best.

I get what you're saying, similar to what willie said, but for the sake of the thread I included it.

All of those cultures are part of the great American melting pot. They're all American foods, particularly since our versions are generally different than the versions in the countries for which they are named.

Thai, mostly because it is delicious, but partly because I like to imagine I am actually shooting fire out of my butt the next day

At it's best I'd say nothing beats good Indian, but there's a lot of bad/mediocre Indian food out there.

Consistency wise it's probably Mexican using Pizza logic (hard to screw it up and medicore Mexican is still pretty good).

Japanese...my second choice would be Indian. I love some fresh naan and chicken korma.

Thai...I love red curry, chicken with peanut sauce, pad thai, etc.

Second favorite...a big, honkin' platter of mixed sushi and sashimi, washed down with hot saki.

Tex Mex is the correct answer.
There are about a dozen of these restaurants within a 2 mile area from my house.

Italian, Mexican(from all the Mexicos down there), Korean and Thai.

I like "American" Chinese. But not the real deal.

And if poutine counts as Canadian cuisine, then all bets are off.
