non Ducks...

Herschel Walker. Although I was very young. But still knew the game quite well and how special of a player he was.

Adrian Peterson. Got to see him play @ Autzen. It was a treat to watch a guy run that hard and with that much passion. You could tell he had NFL great written all over.

gotta say Jake Plummer was a treat to watch play in the PAC.

really appreciated what Tebow brought to CFB as well.

A lot of great choices in the thread.

A close second for me has to be Earl Campbell. I was in High School when he played at Texas, and used to love to watch him destroy defenses. Followed him with the Oilers and could not miss an epic battle with the Steelers and Jack Lambert. Fucking AWESOME football!!!!!

BUT, seeing him nowadays is hard to watch. He took such a beating in his career. He looks like he’s about 80 now with his injuries.....

Charles Woodson because he proved a defensive player can win the Heisman.

I will throw another one out there, off the hook:

Byron Leftwitch. Obviously he's not my fav (Vince) but the scence where he was carried to the line by his players to finish the game was pretty epic.

It's really tough for me between Tyrod Taylor, Danny Coale and Corey Moore.

(Sorry Nebraska fans!)

My homer picks, as a college kid watching people I knew play:

John Lynch.....why? See below, tough to believe he was recruited as a QB, and pitcher. IIRC he is in the baseball hall of fame for throwing the first game for the Marlin's minor league team.

On the offensive side, though his pro career could have been better (injuries etc)...in that era as a fan Touchdown Tommy Vardell.

In my sister's era, of course John Elway. Though his career record on the farm was not as great as could have been (W-L) his individual records were amazing. This highlight is dedicated to all the Husky fans I grew up with and gave me excrement about Stanford.....Elway knocking off the # 1 team in the land.

In the "Modern" era, aka Stanford's rise in the last few years? I have to go with Trent Murphy, he is just plain nasty!

One of the coolest things I've ever seen on a football field.

I was at the game. Pretty fun game to watch between VTech and Michigan. Sat by the Michigan fans and I must say a pleasant group to sit by.

Poor guy may have had the worst luck of any college football player I have ever seen. Guy was damn good too. South Carolina came to LSU when he was there, pretty sure he was healthy at the time but can't be sure.

I'll go with a guy that deserves more recognition as a college qb than he ever got, Colin Kaepernick. First time I ever saw him touch the field he was a freshman getting his first start on the road at Boise State. Kid left it all on the field, and nearly brought home a win with no help from the defense in a triple overtime thriller. I am of course trying to not pick an LSU guy, but I just remember watching him in that game and saying, "Damn this guy is special." He may have not won it all and may never, but I think making it to 2 semi-final games it to a Super Bowl and a Semi-Final in back to back years is pretty special. Below is his first game against Boise.

Favorite Player: Marques Tuiasosopo

Non-Homer: Raghib Ismael (For some reason I was a Notre Dame fan, as a kid.

Also, this thread reminded me that "The Strip" is one of my favorite plays of all-time; man did I hate Miami back then.
