O-Line only has one true returning starter but most everyone has game experience. This group is the reason for our slow starts and I blame Herb Hand more than anyone for that. We need Grimes to have his kids ready at the opening whistle if we are going to win early.

I agree with what you said and TBH I feel better with Grimes back. There used to be a video on YouTube demonstrating how well a line was coached by observing the pulling guards. If their movements were in sync they were coached well. Grimes' players at Arky St.(IIRC) and AU were shown.

I knew our situation on the O-line but I was referring to their O-line returners for matchup comparisons to our front seven. We should win this matchup and it is possible that Peterson will have to game plan around that.

UW has a strong veteran O line with depth and experience and two all Pac12 caliber guys on it.
Huskies' offensive line boasts size, depth and quality

There are a few questions on that unit, and even with that unit they had issues rushing against lower teams early last year, but it's a solid unit. Only thing is, it's a solid Pac12 unit, not a solid SEC unit. We will see how they stack up against a SEC power defense.

I mean it's already been said, but on paper UW's rushing attack is world class and at least their back half of the defense should stack up top 10 caliber defensive numbers again.

Our questions are mainly who is Jake going to throw to, can they kick a fucking field goal longer than 15y :gaah: , and can they handle SEC size right out of the gate.

UW doesn't have the marquee name at WR after Pettis graduated. They have talent, but no one really that has proven to be a big game player yet. That's not a minor thing.

They are also breaking in a brand new OC/play caller and his very first game in that role is against that Auburn D. That's a tall order.

    5. Jake Browning (Washington) vs. Jarrett Stidham (Auburn) - Sept. 1 (Atlanta)
The Huskies and Tigers will meet at Mercedes-Benz Stadium for one of the marquee non-conference games in all of college football as two playoff contenders clash. A good reason why the game is so big is because of the quarterbacks headlining the matchup who are both coming off appearances in New Year's Six bowls. Stidham served up some clutch throws in big wins over Georgia and Alabama last season and lived up to the hype for the Tigers after starting his career at Baylor. Browning is the active FBS career leader in total touchdowns and is coming off a year where he threw just five picks. Both QBs can share the distinction of having lost the game on their last trip to Atlanta (Browning in a semifinal two years ago, Stidham in the most recent Peach Bowl) and you can bet they will want to leave town with a victory.

Screw that. I don’t know where your confidence in 15 yarders comes from.

I still worry about the O line. Yes they should be good, and have been pretty good on paper the last year or two, but when they get to the Alabamas and Penn States they tend to look completely out of their league.

Which I think you covered, just agreeing with you I guess.

Why isn't anyone talking about Auburns o-line? They could get absolutely manhandled if they can't gel in time. Huskies by 7!!!! F U Auburn!!!!!
