I thought this was an interesting poll. In the match up it pit's OU's 2003 squad with Jason White vs. OU's 2008 squad with Sam Bradford. I ended up leaning toward Bradford's 2008 squad,, if teams were what they were at, at the end up the season. With OU's best all-around playmaker in Demarco Murray out.

On the other side you had Jason White, yeah he was a great QB and field general but it was bad watching him about mid-way through his last year. His body was just giving out. I still think if he was even remotely close to being 100%, OU would have beat LSU. The guy couldn't even walk and blew out his elbow, he had the body of a 50 year old man. Had trouble throwing and moving outside the pocket.

I agree with Jake, that 2003 defense was straight up vicious. But I think Sam could have given them a run for the money. Unless Kevin Wilson decides to completely change the offense and just ignores Greshman and run's it 15 times straight up the middle....then I'd go with 2003.

Who should advance: Oklahoma’s defense was tenacious in ’03. But I’m not sure how it could have slowed down the ’08 Sooners, who could score every which way with Bradford, Murray, Gresham and a powerful offensive line. The '03 Oklahoma offense was prolific, but it wasn’t quite as strong or versatile as the ’08 Sooners’ attack was. The ’08 Sooners would have found a way to put up enough points to move on to the title game.

I'm going with the 2008 squad.
The 2003 team lost to Kansas State in the CCG while the '08 squad lost to a good Texas team.

I'm going with the 2003 team. That defense was so much better than the '08 squad Jason White & Co. would have no problem scoring while the '08 offense could struggle mightily against that defense.

One thing that I think really hurt the 2008 squad was not having Curtis Lofton. If Curtis would have stayed back for his Senior season, I really think we would have had #8.
