Just Curious,

How many of us came from the ESPN board?

How many of us didn't come from the ESPN board or Sportshoopla is their first?

Sorry about Sale, I do think Moncada will be a great player in time, and from what I've followed Kopech also looks like a good prospect though I will admit Boston really haven't developed a pitcher from their farm system since Lester.

i am glad they made this trade. they were going nowhere with sale and in a couple more years we would have lost him for nothing. i think we got the best of this deal actually but only time will tell. at least we jumped from 25th in the league in the minor league systems to 15th and that's a start. throw in the fact we got rid of one of the worst managers in the history of the game and i'm actually optimistic. couple years rebuild and if we're lucky we'll be competitive. it'll be interesting to watch the process.
and btw ... i think there's more action to come.

I started at CBS. A bunch of us eventually migrated to ESPN once the CBS team boards died. I was only at ESPN for about 5 minutes before finding this place. Several familiar faces were here:

@purguy12 , @ChicagoIrish , @Microwahevo.

That is the appeal for the White Sox Moncada has the potential to be a star player but he is still a bit on the unknown where as Sale is a known commodity for the Red Sox as it stands to me the Red Sox won but in 4 or 5 years that could be very different.

This reminds me of the Hanley trade for Beckett.

U need to trade Frazier now. I would for him to go to Yankees. He is from NJ. I played High school baseball with him.

Yeah If I had to rank the 3 sites: 1)Cbs 2)Sportshoopla 3)espn.

cbs- It was very active on every board. I miss talking yankees baseball on there.
Sportshoop: Has a good mix and getting more popular. Still dead on a lot of team boards.
ESPN: way too many trolls. Everything turned into a name calling argument.

I came over from the ND boards on CBS as well (although I was under a different name then). I think I may have been tkman3? It's been a while now.

Yeah in a lot of ways it does but Boston's farm system wasn't as deep then so I think it hurt a little more and I think you could argue Sale is a better pitcher than Beckett but doesn't have the post season success of Beckett.

I came from ESPN. Most of the guys with a "joined" date of July 2013 (or close to that) came over when ESPN dropped their forums.

I think I jumped a little early because they started changing the format and you couldn't have any dialogue about sports on their forums.

i think you'll all be surprised at just how over-rated sale is.
