With non conference play winding down(for the most part), I wanted to take a crack at the first edition of Bracketology. With it being this early in the season, I didn't strictly look at just resume, because at this point there are still some huge outliers in the RPI(for example: Towson at 33, Lipscomb at 37, UC Santa Barbara at 45). New to the selection process this season is the 4 quadrant breakdown as follows: Quadrant 1: Home 1-30; Neutral 1-50; Away 1-75 Quadrant 2: Home 31-75; Neutral 51-100; Away 76-135 Quadrant 3: Home 76-100; Neutral 101-200; Away 136-240 Quadrant 4: Home 161-plus; Neutral 201-plus; Away 241-plus This is essentially putting more weight on true road wins, and neutral wins. Basically the committee will go under the assumption that beating #74 on the road is better than beating #40 at home, which I think is a good thing with some merit.
