Eric Decker has publicly announced that he wants to be a Patriot. Drafted by Josh McDaniel when he was the HC of the Broncos, Decker really liked Josh and thought his ideas of offense were great. When his contract ended prior to last season, he was late getting to Foxborough and signed with Titans.

Decker can offer the Patriots several things.......He knows Josh'd system. He has NFL experience. He's 6'4" tall. He has route running ability and speed to run the routes.

I hope BB gives him a shot. He's better than Dorsett and Britt. He can catch the ball and hold on to it.

Word on the street...........................he'll be in Foxboro next week.

Thoughts??

Trust me, most of the players want him to play for the Pats.

I'm OK with the Patriots kicking the tires on this one. If he can still run I'd be OK if they signed him as well.

Mehh I can't see it, is he any better than Danny was? He is likely better then that kid the drafted out of Miami. I don't know was never really impressed with him.

The only thing Decker would give them is an older slower version of Jordan Matthews.

Why would the Patriots sign him? Makes no sense right now.

Give him a shot. Why not another slow white receiver who runs good routes. A good vet presence. Loss of DA and who knows if Mitchell is healthy. Bring him to camp and let him earn a spot.

A 6'-3" White guy, perfect for the Pat's.
Got to give him a look see.

I always referred to the Pats cheerleaders as the albino chorus line, Im starting to feel the way about the WRs . If they bring him in I will be convinced of it

Eric Decker can be a good for the Patriots, especially with Edelman being suspended for four games and Amendola gone to the Dolphins. I say give him a contract already.

Decker is at least worth kicking the tires but, barring a key injury at WR, his chances of sticking are fairly slim.

Bring him in, he is bigger WR who can play outside and is great in the RZ. IF MM is having knee issues, and JE looks to have his suspension upheld, I don't see why you wouldn't bring him and see what he's got.
