I could see this happening, I do think Yzerman will land either Franson or Petry. I think Namestinkov would be the obvious guy to get moved given our depth a center but the Leafs need defenseman so perhaps Nesterov and s 2nd that could turn into a 1st for Franson?

I doubt they move namstinkov for a rental at best yzerman gives them a 1st round pick alone for franson. we don't have a 2nd rounder we lost that signing ryan Callahan but we got the rangers 1st round pick and are first round pick. Nesterov and oilers 3rd will get franson I think that like you said turns into a 1st round pick if lightning resign franson.

The acquisition Yzerman makes is going to have to be a rental giving the fact that we are up against the cap and the fact we need to lockup Stammer. Yzerman has liked Franson for a while now but ultimately I think he'll be too expensive for Yzerman and find himself landing LA. I therefore Yzerman will turn is attention to the Oilers and land Jeff Petry and Rob Klinkhammer for both 3rd round picks this year and a 2nd next year. Lightning get a capable top 4 d man and a depth forward who plays a gritty style and hits everything in sight.

will see for petry in the past yzerman stated he won't do a 1st or any 2nd round picks for rentals the most he said would do is a 3rd rounder.
