Discogs is also a good vinyl marketplace. Better than Ebay perhaps.

I have somewhere around 750 vinyls....majority are rare to very rare. A few of the white labels I have are worth upwards of $1K...especially the ones that have specific samples on them. I have some first pressings of:
Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys
Bing Crosby
Glenn Miller Orchestra
Beatles
Rolling Stones

I have sold some of my vinyl in tough times years ago...sold a Prodigy vinyl from 1990 to some Japanese guy for $150. Sold some bootlegs for big cash.

Vinyl's in man... I noticed new, packaged records the last time I was at best buy. I haven't tried to sell anything like that, but I'd put it out there before throwing it away. Just put them on ebay, start the auction at the lowest that would make it worth you having to ship them, and see what you end up with. It'll be more than the dumpster's willing to pay...

Many say the sound quality is far better than digital sound quality. My ears can't tell the diff.

I would be open to selling my collection of 100 +/- tho...tough times call for desperate measures (food). Don't think I have a high dollar treasure here tho.

I believe the high tones are much crisper on vynyl

On the right turntable with the right system, you can tell a difference.

...but on the other hand, when it's very loud it is hard to tell a difference.

I have Technics SL-1200 MK2 turntables with high-end Ortofon carts and push over 1,000 watts to Cerwin-Vega boxes.

I've been selling shit (v'never bought anything) on eBay since 2001...old toys, comics, sports memorabilia, train sets en sech; have barely made a dent in the personal & inherited accumulations of collections and 'junque' that was never trashed - but WILL be trashed if not dumped, er, sold...nice thing about LPs is that postage is negligible -being media mail - even so, there's a bookoo of albums to research, picture, describe and place ads for...ugh!...s'too bad I can't just donate them to a worthy used music store and write-off a percentage of the value.
