I like Gordon and I'm glad the M's got him. That said I don't like the notion of we need an X so we'll go get a Y and just make him an X. Gordon seems to be a good outfielder, but I really hope the Mariners don't make a habit of doing that.
it is clear to me that gordan can play anywhere he /they want him to
cuz if you play 2b/ss which he did in miami.and now playing outfield for mariners..i would not really put him at catcher or 1b but he could prob do it if he tryed

I will gladly eat a full plate of crow if the M's make the playoffs.

I think it's a little premature for anyone to eat crow. Almost everyone on here has said this team has the talent to be a playoff team if the starting pitching plays better than their baseball cards. Which thus far Felix, Leake and Marco have.

Yeah, over 75% of the voters on the "how many wins" poll said this would be an above .500 team, so that's right in the WC competition territory. We could be 4-0 right now or even 5-0 after today with a win, and I still wouldnt think this team was going to overtake Houston this year. However, I did think from the beginning they would be competitive for a wild card spot. They have been the last 2 years, and that's with near historic degree of injuries to the pitching staff.

Wasn't a joke thread in origin. I absolutely hated the Dee Gordon acquisition and was open about it. Now? I love it. Just admitting I was wrong.

I can't watch M's games even if I want to, but Dee Gordon seems pretty great, so I get it.

The team is hot garbage, though. Paxton will probably injure himself sneezing funny in his next start or two."I just sneezed at such a weird angle, and it totally threw out my back!"

The Astros have been a lot of fun to watch so far. Everything that I hoped and dreamed for the M's, but would never have gotten in another 15 years.

Always a funny clip... Tongue and Cheek as I feel the M's will at least be flirting w/ a WC spot when it's all said and done...

Agreed! Hated the move when starting pitching was a must and still is but DG has been a solid pick up.

No shot at Houston but a WC I think could be doable but Felix needs to get his shit together and quick.

Felix has another half dozen of those shitty games in him for the season.

Lets just hope we get 25+ starts out of him and around a dozen pretty good outings mixed in with the 6 shitty ones.

Felix's ceiling I think is: 13 wins and 8 losses with an ERA of 4.2

Felix's floor is around 8 wins 10 losses and an ERA of mid to upper 5's ( 5.5-5.85 )

His 2018 numbers will land somewhere inbetween I am sure .... UNLESS he tosses less than 125 innings which means he made a trip or 2 to the DL and all bets are off

This team can hit so I think Felix could get to 15 w's but also after seeing yesterdays performance it wouldn't surprise me if he ended up with 15 L's.

I don't think he gets enough decisions to reach either

And I think he only has 1 maybe 2 seasons with over 15 wins when he was in his prime. So I don't see 15 wins happening at this stage of his career

I would be happy if he hits double digit wins 10-11-12

I will be even happier if his inning total approaches 175 innings of work ( irregardless of W/L record )

It's truly a shame his prime was wasted on shit teams.
