They should. Those are the avg pts scored and allowed in our best season in recent memory.
We're currently at 36 & 13.5 after two games.
Just an observation as it's a loooooong way to go.
Also to note, if you go and look at some of the best passing QB's in CFB right now, we're staring down the barrel of a whole mess of them. In the top 10 of passing yards are:
Patrick Mahomes (TTU)
Dane Evans (Tulsa)
Seth Russell (Baylor)
Mason Rudolph (Ok. St.)
Skyler Howard and Trevon Boykin are 16th and 32nd respectively.
Has practicing against Riley's offense prepared our defense to better defend quick tempo high-flying offenses? Will be interesting to watch.
We're currently 10th in the nation in Total Defense avg 3.28 per play/240 yds per game.
We're currently 6th in passing yds allowed at 106.5 per game.
We're currently 55th in rushing yds allowed at 133.5 per game.
Of course as the season wears on these numbers will more than likely inflate due to playing in the Big XII, but Mike Stoops is fighting for his coaching life I've heard...maybe that's a good thing?
